There are many roofing contractors who are bidding roof jobs way below cost. This is a major concern for there is no way that a roof can be installed correctly at a 50% discount. There are companies that are giving free roof estimates, but are charging homeowners a fee for roof inspections. They are one in the same, but the average homeowner is unaware of these tactics. There are companies going from door to door soliciting work from homeowners. Roofing companies that are in business for the long haul do not initiate these measures to secure work.
